We were so honoured to share our 2014 Winnipeg Folk Festival experience with our great friend Lauren who travelled all the way from Scotland to visit. We met Lauren abroad while we were travelling in Thailand and now she came to Canada to see our country for the first time. It’s truly amazing how you connect with so many wonderful people throughout your life and even better when you keep those connections. We had such an amazing time at Folk Fest together this year and I can’t wait until our next rendezvous !

The message behind these Lokai bracelets remind me to maintain balance in my life. The beads in the bracelet are infused with elements sources from the highest and lowest points on the earth. The white ball, carrying water from Mt.Everest reminds one that, even if your are on top of the world, stay humble. The black ball holds mud from the Dead Sea, acting as a constant reminder for when you’ve hit a low point, to stay hopeful. The clear string of beads links the two, signifying that throughout life’s journey there are highs and lows. Without one, we could not appreciate the other. This bracelet is a constant reminder that no matter how far the scale tips in one direction, you should always strive for balance. #mylokai #livelokai
