This is a shout out to my Aunteeeee. For as long as I can remember she has been more than just an aunt, she’s a true friend. She has listened to me in my most vulnerable times and has given me many words of wisdom. She lives far away, but we manage to still stay close. Words can’t describe our relationship because only we know how special we are to one another. Happy Birthday Aunteeeee!

Nothing feels better than leaning on someone for help and getting support in return. Actually, even better is people that go out of their way to help you before you even have to ask. My day was made a billion times easier due to 4 students who went out of their way to help me through a really stressful day at work. I simply cannot say enough about “my people” Danika, Shana, Nick and Mark…. They always knock me on my ass with how incredible they truly are. I’m so blessed to have them in my life.

My Brady asked me to go for a walk in the rain today, like the troopers we are….got our rain jackets on and went for a walk/scooter around the bay. He asked me to take his scooter for the last leg of the walk and I noticed he was bending over occasionally to pick something up….finally I realized he was picking up worms that were all over the road and placing them back in the grass. When I asked him what he was doing he told me he was saving as many worms as he could…he actually said that he figured they’d like the grass better than the road. It blows me away when I see my kids acting like good, caring people. Sure it was a small deal, but it made my day. :)

Whenever I win a group of kids for grad auctions I usually send them uptown to run some errands for me. These guys were great sports, needless to say they got many honks from the locals :) Although it says grad 89 on their poster, they will actually be graduating in a few weeks. It seems like school spirit is a dying breed these days, but for these “pretty ladies” it was all hands on deck today. Atta boys!

I’m sure some of you have experienced the costco parking lot…. Takes frustrating to a whole other level. The last 2 times I have went there I had 2 great experiences, people being nice because I had the forethought to be kind to them. I know it seems small, but it felt good to be a nice citizen to them. I believe it now Jason and Braden, positivity feels a heck a lot better than negativity. Be good to each other, they may be good back.

Today I had a gaggle of girls (and Alex) in my classroom picking out and designing clothes in celebration of their graduation ( for next year-2015). It was awesome to watch their excitement as they make plans for one of the most exciting years of their lives. I always love working with future graduates because they are always excited to get things done… To take the next step in their lives. Pumped for this committee to get started!
