Uncategorized This is my dad. He’s also my best friend. When I was 15, he was diagnosed with cancer after months of pain and uncertainty. Chemo, radiation, and finally a stem cell transplant were nothing in comparison to this guys spirit through it all. That’s what got him through. Never did he not have a smile on his face, and his ridiculous sense of humor didn’t miss a beat for almost 2 years. This past January, we almost lost him. He had a subdural hemotoma that was probably hours away from killing him. He had emergency surgery, ironically thanks to a CT scan at a routine cancer care appointment. He had one more surgery this past weekend to drain some more fluid surrounding his brain. He’s put us through hell, but his positivity and strength through all of this shit is insanely inspiring to me and everyone who knows him.
