I have a fascination with this world. But more importantly a fascination with the people who occupy it. The benefits of a positive, compassionate, and empathetic world are limitless. Through the 29 countries I’ve travelled, I’ve fallen in love with the earth and what it has to offer. It truly is one giant playground. We need to treat it right, because it has offered us resources, beauty, phenomena but most importantly it has offered us life. It has never asked for anything in return. The least we can do is respect it. Happy earth day. :earth_africa:

My Aussie brothers minus big Dan. We’ve gotten to experience Ibiza, running of the bulls in Pamplona, Tomorrowland, the Greek islands and Vegas in style for @bobbydazzla ‘s bachelor party. I’m the wildcard Canadian, and these guys took me in like one of their own. Because of them, I’ve gotten to experience some of the best parties of my life with some of the greatest people I’ve ever met. I’m grateful that these guys’ tents were beside line while camping amongst 200,000+ people in Pamplona. The universe works in a funny way. I wonder where our next party will be.

Well this happened to me today. I got my first speeding ticket in 5 years. 67 in a 50 on a tricky little street. There’s 2 ways to look at this. One way is with resentment towards the police for not letting me off the hook, and just claiming today as “ugh, one of those days” OR I can look at it that it was completely my fault for not being aware how fast I was going. Spring time had me on cruise control and the police were just doing their jobs to keep the roads a safe place. So I’m cool with it. It was on my way to get my haircut by the wonderful @courtfads who did a fantastic job. Plus it’s Saturday, arguably the best day of the week! I won’t let some ticket take away from my day – I’ll just be more careful while driving. Smile on, Stay Posi.

I am cool uncle Jay. I’m very grateful to be an uncle at such a young age. Thanks to my sisters @kristincanart and @berardr I have 2 nieces, 1 nephew and 1 unknown on it’s way! I love kids, I love acting out characters with them in their imaginary worlds and I love making them laugh and smile. I feel like I still am a kid deep down. But I guess the coolest part about being an uncle is that I have the opportunity to have an incredible impact in these kids lives. Knowing their mom and dads, I know that the potential for every one of their kids is limitless. So although I don’t have a direct responsibility in raising them, I have an amazing opportunity to lead by example and be a figure of inspiration for them regardless of what my future holds. Such a great form of “pressure” that drives me to be better every day. I am cool uncle Jay.

Since almost everything is closed today for Good Friday, finding a good and creative deed in the city was kind of tough. I decided to take 20 dollars and greet people at the Tim Hortons drive thru window. I managed to pay for 5 vehicles’ purchases. Then they began to pay it forward – not sure how far we made it. The best part was people driving up to the drive thru and looking at me like I was some freak that was going to harm them hahaha. It’s a small gesture, but we made some smiles today.

As a solo backpacker, you become unbelievably close to the people you meet. You become best friends in a day, and I believe that the reason you become so close with people when you are solo is because you are interacting with everyone in their raw format. They don’t know you, they don’t need to impress you, they just want to learn about where you’re from and who you are as an individual. This past summer I left for Southeast Asia with an idea in mind of creating a website called “Posiposts”. As I was travelling around, I became so close with people and had such an immediate trust that I began telling people about the idea. At first I could barely explain it. But people listened, everyone was open and kind. What started happening was that people were engaging my idea, they were challenging it, they were encouraging it, they didn’t realize it, but they were growing it. As I travelled around, “Posiposts” began turning in to something much bigger, an idea with much more potential and power than before I had left. Amazing people with different worldviews, insights, values and knowledge offered their advice, and their support. These are the people who first believed in me, the people who first believed in the idea of “Posiposts”. I am so grateful to have had the experiences I have travelling, and beyond grateful for the people that I’ve met. Good people are my inspiration, and we all have good in our hearts. People are amazing. @dandecas @hayley

When I was 14 I crashed an ATV in to a huge tractor shed. I don’t know how I managed to do that, the shed was MASSIVE. Ever since then, I couldn’t drive an ATV anymore, or really any thing on wheels that wasn’t a car or bicycle. This past summer I was backpacking in Southeast Asia where it can cost as little as 5 dollars to rent a scooter for the day. As a solo backpacker you end up best friends with the people you just met, you trust them. So I wanted to drive a scooter. I had no lessons, the guy renting them handed me a key and a helmet. I was hooked. I rocked it all over the place. We went exploring in our scooters. This picture is a random scooter path in the Vietnamese Jungle along the coast in Da Nang. Had I not hopped on that bike, this experience, this picture would have never happened. Conquer your fears, no matter how irrational they may be.

Every morning I wake up and I write on my white board beside my bed. I write down what I’ll be doing with Posi today, I write down what I’ll be doing today, and I write down what I’m grateful for today. It focuses your mind for the day. Writing out my gratitude reminds me that regardless of what happens today, life is amazing and I have so much to be grateful for. If you write down atleast 3 things that you’re grateful for for 21 days it changes your mind to view the world more positively. Finally I write that I will be successful, how can you argue with yourself when you put something in writing ?
