Uncategorized One of the things I am so blessed and thankful for is all of the experiences I have had while traveling. There is no better way to learn about yourself, the world and the beautiful people surrounding you. One of the best experiences I had was spending time in an orphanage in Rwanda, where 604 children under the age of 18 lived in crowded, smelly rooms. They were so content and grateful to have visitors, because all they wanted was someone to pay attention to them and to appreciate them. That day I played countless games, sung songs, got my hair braided a million times, and got to enjoy their beautiful smiles. They were smiling because they got to interact with us and all of their fellow brothers and sisters. They told me about their dreams about going to school and what kind of career they want when they grow up. Whenever I am having a bad day, or what I think is a bad day I look at all my pictures with these children. They inspire me to make change to my life on a daily basis.
