I can’t believe that this is an alert on the Weather app. I’m floored…. I can’t even begin to imagine the fear and pain that the residents of Moncton are in. I hope for the best and hope that the shooter gets caught. Definitely makes me thankful to know that I am safe and secure tonight. Events like this really make me appreciate my life and all the people in it. #prayformoncton #love #hope

There are no words to describe the pure shock and disbelief I am feeling over the events going on currently in Moncton, NB. It’s so very disturbing on so many levels and the amount of devastation that is endured by this, it just breaks my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with those who are fearing for their lives and for those lost. I have family in law enforcement and it makes me so grateful and proud to know what they sign themselves up for, never knowing what can happen. I am forever grateful for their sacrifice to keep us safe.

Honestly you can achieve anything if you set your mind to it. Two years ago I couldn’t even run half a mile without stopping and running out of breath. Last year I completed 4 5k races and 1 10K. This year I decided to challenge myself and sign up for my first Half marathon in October. My training just keeps getting better and better. I am happy to say that I ran my 6 miles today without stopping and I wasn’t even tired. It just goes to show that if you really want something, you’ll do whatever you can to make it happen. I fully believe in this. :)

In grade 10, I had this English teacher who kept quotes all over his classroom. I remember reading this particular one and if course at 16, I didn’t realize the significant meaning of this quote. Of course now that I’ve gotten some life experience under my belt, I truly see how unbelievably true this quote is in life. Some people come and go and some of those people leave behind footprints on your heart. And of course we change and we are never the same. Honestly to all the good people and bad people in my life, I thank you for making me the person I am today. I know I’m a much stronger individual. :)

Shout out to my bestie @mellengo ! We met in grade 5 and formed an instant friendship. I am so lucky to have someone that has my back no matter what life throws our way. We have been through good times and bad times together and it’s so refreshing to know that I have a life long friend. She just gets me and is always there to make me laugh, cry and look forward to life and what it has to offer. I seriously do not know where or who I would be without her. :)
