WE DAY WINNIPEG 2014 It is SO inspiring seeing so many young students across the province active and involved in making the world a better place. We day is such an exciting experience in the sense that you can’t buy a ticket. You have to earn it, through service and activism. I am so confident that each and every person here will be leaving excited and inspired about what they can do to make the world a better place. Find something you are passionate about – improving education, advocating anti-bullying, providing clean water… And join the cause. #weday #whatcanWEdo #freethechildren #empoWErment

As great as the concept of Thanksgiving is, it’s important to remember to be grateful every day. Life is so precious, don’t take anything, or anyone for granted. We are so incredibly blessed. Pictured is my aunt with my cousin (5 years there) and me (at 2 years). She passed away from metastatic breast cancer in 2012, and it was probably the hardest thing that I have ever had to deal with. She was my mom’s identical twin (of triplets), and did everything with us. From painting my nails for a grad, taking me shopping, to offering me my first drink. She was there for everything, almost like a second mom for me. She was the coolest. It absolutely breaks my heart that my cousins won’t get to share those experiences with her, but I am so grateful for the time that I got to spend with her. It was always special, and I know that the impact she had on my life changed me for the better. Life is short, cherish it; be thankful every day, and take nothing for granted.

I actually have so much respect for this kid! I met Andrew last year when I went back to working at Boston Pizza, and right away was taken aback by his never-failing positivity, and energy. He always had a smile on his face, and it is infectious! :) He is the type of person who always knows just what to say, and when to say it. He always builds me up, and makes me feel better about myself, no matter what is going on in my life. I am so proud to call him my friend. Thanks Lesany!! Much love <3
