Uncategorized Moving to New Brunswick with Shea is the most bittersweet feeling. I am so excited to start this next chapter of my life and couldn’t ask for a better guy to share it with. However, leaving my family and friends has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. Courtney and Steph bought me this necklace to remind me just how strong our friendship is. Closeness and friendship have nothing to do with where you live. It will just make the time spent with loved ones even more special when we are reunited xoxoxox I love all my friends and family and thank them for the support ! Uncategorized Steph is one of my longest friendships ever! We have been friends since middle school, then went on to work together throughout university. Today my posi post is about Steph because she is truly one of the most optimistic people I know. Her humour can make me feel better on the worst of days. Every person that knows Steph thinks she’s amazing, and has nothing but great things to say. I love you Steph and I know we are gonna be friends forever :kissing_heart: Posted on July 22, 2014 by Kirstyn Continue reading →
Uncategorized Was just part of my first pay it forward line in Starbucks! The gentleman before me took the liberty of starting up the chain and paid for my drink, which I in turn did for the car behind me. Nothing like some positive vibes on a Monday ! Uncategorized Had a great time on Friday with these girls! I met both Celia and Brii while travelling through Bali, and was pleasantly surprised to realize they were both from my home town. Travelling is a passion of mine, and it’s so humbling to realize what a small world we live in. I had never met Celia before, only to find out (across the world) that she lives two blocks away from me. Brii and I shared the same high school, but it was our love for travelling that brought us together as friends. So happy to have you girls in my life! Uncategorized Tonight my mom was the recipient of a Nursing Excellence award for her work at the children’s hospital. In specific, my mom has focused a lot of time and energy making a program for autistic children to feel safe and secure when going to the hospital. She also was part of re creating the children’s pre admission clinic, as well as so much more that I can’t even begin to explain. It’s no secret that I’m an extremely proud daughter. Whether it was video taping her speech or jumping up to take a million pictures, the entire audience could see I was one of her biggest fans. If I could be even half as compassionate, caring, and loving as my mom, I’d consider myself lucky. Thanks to my mom for not only changing my life, but every family that you see in your clinic every day. Posted on May 15, 2014 by Kirstyn Continue reading →
Uncategorized I didn’t have the greatest Sunday. Woke up to a broken phone, followed by going to the doctors office only to wait five hours to be seen. After this, we went to Shea’s aunts for dinner, where his cousin Laura gave me this bracelet that she made for me. This gift completely turned my day around. I don’t have a little sister or cousin so it’s safe to say this gesture put a huge smile on my face. It’s definitely the little things in life that make you realize how lucky you are :purple_heart:❤️:blue_heart::heartpulse: Posted on May 4, 2014 by Kirstyn Continue reading →
Uncategorized Yesterday I had a gentleman say some very negative & hurtful things to me, not because I hurt him in any way but because of certain beliefs I hold that he doesn’t. I never try to push any of my beliefs on anybody, nor do I think people with differing views are wrong or bad people. I could have let this ruin my day. Instead I came on posi, found some happy thoughts, and had a great Tuesday! Now my best friend and boyfriend is coming home today from university. Focusing on the good :raised_hands: Posted on April 23, 2014 by Kirstyn Continue reading →
