Feminist: a person who believes in the social, political, and economic EQUALITY of the sexes. As a whole population, we are oblivious to the fact that sexism is still very alive. We mustn’t talk about it or whine about it, instead we simply must ACT on it. Women constantly act apologetic for thinking they deserve respect. And men evidently feel “emasculated” if they provide that respect. The only real right women have right now is to vote. Little progress has been made since then and it is absolutely crucial it doesn’t stay this way. Be thoughtful in how you speak and even how you think.

“Love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you” There is something extremely rewarding in not bothering with people who bother you. I’ve had to learn this the hard way a few times by letting ignorant and inconsiderate behavior get to me. In the end, it has only been a colossal waste of my time. Everyone should know that their time is expensive, and there will be people who simply can’t afford it. Spend it on those who love you instead:satisfied:

Came very close to leaving a game because of how poorly I had been coached for years. I am so happy to have left the softball team that didn’t work for me but also to have kept the sister there that made me keep playing. I can now see the people who told me I couldn’t hit or didn’t believe I’d ever leave as my biggest inspirations. Skeptics will always be louder than your fans. And success will always shut them up.

Yesterday I got cut from the Canada Winter Games ringette team, after a year of trying out. The coach once called me a “bubble player.” I will now be returning to my club team of 5 years, which brought me to having national and international awards in my closet. Team Manitoba could not see a passion-driven, success-demanding determined soul as a fit for their team… I’m grateful for the empowering rejection. “I define who I am and how good I can be. No one else.”
