Uncategorized At 39 years old I went back to school to become a certified medical assistant. I love helping people and medicine. I graduated in November and have been looking for a job ever since. There has been a lot of frustration, but I am lucky to have a job as I look. I just want people to know, it doesn’t matter how old you are. You can still learn. Just keep moving forward. I will find a job. Posted on May 31, 2014 by Laura Continue reading →
Uncategorized This Memorial Day weekend here in the USA, I am grateful for the men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice so I can take a picture of this beautiful sunset. Thank you. Posted on May 24, 2014 by Laura Continue reading →
Uncategorized I have depression and recently I noticed that it was getting worse. Thankfully I was able to realize it, went to my Dr and adjusted my medication. This made me think about all the people suffering in silence because mental illness isn’t talked about. We need to tell our stories so others know it is ok. I am living proof that you can live with depression. I am grateful everyday that I can see the world. Posted on May 18, 2014 by Laura Continue reading →
Uncategorized I turned 40 the other day. One of my best friends sent me a beautiful bouquet of flowers. I am so grateful she sat next to me 21 years ago. Friends are the family we choose. So blessed Posted on May 4, 2014 by Laura Continue reading →
Uncategorized I recently said goodbye to a couple of people in my life. I Was sad at first but then I realized what they each taught me. They were in my life long enough to teach my to see the beauty in the world, to write again and that writing is my passion. Thank you for teaching me that. Posted on April 28, 2014 by Laura Continue reading →
