Uncategorized This is what hard work, teamwork, and a lot of freaking heart gets you. These boys finished a distant fourth in their division, but that didn’t stop them from setting their sights on the Turnbull cup. After knocking out the second best team in Canada in the first round, followed by the defending champs in the second round people started calling them a Cinderella story. But there was no luck in this, only insanely hard work by a group of guys working together to accomplish a huge goal. And that goal was most certainly accomplished. After watching my boyfriend play on this team for three years I can’t explain the joy I felt getting to watch him hoist the cup in his final year. I guess this is just a reminder that if you want something, and you work really hard, rewards will come. These guys walked in and turned the mjhl playoffs upside down and I couldn’t be prouder.
