HONY I’m inspired by the website humans of New York. If you haven’t heard of it, it was created by a former Wall Street trader who now takes pictures of people in New York and asks them about their lives and posts the pics with captions about these people on his website. Being in New York right now, this site has really inspired me not to judge others or to get upset easily at irritating things strangers do because it makes you realize that everyone is going through something! Especially in New York when people are NOT very tolerant of others (I’ve seen a number of intense arguments among strangers over stupid things lol). Follow this site! It’s really inspiring.

Thanks to a stranger. I went jogging in Ny this morning and very embarrassingly tripped on a curb and fell literally right on my face. As I lay on the ground, people on the sidewalk stepped over me as I tried to sit up. No one asked me if I was okay or offered a hand. Then, a guy sitting in his car at a red light came running out of his car over to me to see if I was okay! He was genuinely concerned and helped me up. I really appreciate his act of kindness. Help each other out people! We’re all in this together <3
