Uncategorized 4 months ago to this day, I stood by my Grand-mère side as she was getting ready to leave us and whispered in her ear; “It’s ok to let go. Go on, it’s time for you to go on an adventure. Vas-y grand-mère, j’vas être okay, tu vas passé Noël et la veille de l’an avec grand-père, you’ll finally get a New Years kiss again”. -Reassuring her it’s ok to let go, she then, almost immediately, took her last breath. She lived 6910 days without her husband, her best friend, the love of her life & her soul mate. Yet she still had the biggest smile on her face every single day, laughed uncontrollably, had the BEST sense of humour, had the biggest heart and so much love to give. Living those long days & long years with such a positive outlook on life. How did she do it? Because she knew exactly how lucky & blessed she was by having lived such an incredible life with her husband for those 5 decades. From raising 5 amazing children, to traveling the world and to loving 17 grand children together. She was the best of the best. She is by far, the strongest woman I know. I miss her so much, words cannot describe it, But I am truly blessed that I had the opportunity to know her for 19 years and 363 days.
