I have been a striving vegan for 8 months now. Since then I have not eaten meat and been minimizing rapidly my consummation of dairy, eggs and all kinds of animal products. By doing this change in my lifestyle I have saved the lives of 135 animals and spared 1007lbs of CO2 to be released to the atmosphere. I see myself as a just a part of this planet and our surroundings and not from a selfish perspective where what I consider delicious food conquer my ethical views and values in life. I am so grateful to be alive and here today, and have all of these beautiful surroundings around me and the least I can do to express gratitude is to at least take care of what has been given to me in life. For most people Veganism/vegetarianism is not understandable, for me, being a selfish individual that is not understandable for me. I am not saying I want everyone to become vegans or vegetarians, I respect everyone’s choice of how to live their life, I just wish for more people to become aware of what kind of industry they are supporting and how much it affects our surroundings. Just trying minimize animal products one meal a day or one day a week could save millions of animals, the environment and also your overall health. I just want to encourage people to actually think about what’s going on around us and be more aware to make small changes that could make big differences. Being a vegan is one of the best things human being can do to this planet and is the best decision I have made in my life so far :earth_americas:
