After reading into how horrible elephants are treated just so people can go on an elephant trek we decided to opt for a better option to spend some time with them. This is when we came across the Elephant Nature Park which rescues elephants from pain & abuse. It was an amazing experience feeding & bathing these elephants who now thanks to the park were awarded with a second chance to live free. It was in my opinion the best way to see these animals without contributing to the abuse they go through when people ride them, agree to pictures with them in the streets, watch them in a show, or use them for labour. The experiences domesticated elephants have to go through is absolutely horrendous and I would encourage anyone to read into the mishandling before agreeing to take part. Just bathing, feeding & being around them was amazing experience in itself and I will never forget it. :elephant:
