Never will I forget this last relationship I was in because I was so disrespected, no girl should ever be disrespected like that. No abuse. But verbal abuse. Being called a “skank” because I wore shorts for once was the most hurtful thing he could’ve said to me because he knew it wasn’t true. I never got treated out for a nice dinner, no flowers, nothing. I wasn’t appreciated. I was a great gf and he even admitted it. I want no one to be unappreciated in a relationship. It should be equal. 50/50. Stand your ground ladies. Don’t be afraid to take control of your happiness. Men, appreciate your good girl before it’s too late. No one should be treated with any disrespect, EVER.

What a privilege to converse with Nobel Peace Prize recipient Scott Cairns this evening. As a team leader for the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW)–an affiliate organization of the United Nations–he is tasked with disarming chemical weapons factories in Syria. His thoughtful message of how the good of humanity inspires him to fight against the dark side of humanity was humbling and inspirational. He is a light to the world.

Tonight I said “see you soon” to two of my best friends. It was a very bittersweet night to say the least. @arooney is starting her adventure in London with an amazing guy she met last year when we were traveling Europe. She’s gone for 7 months and will also be in Eastern Europe, South East Asia and Australia. @homer leaves tomorrow and is gone for 6 weeks, he is traveling all over Europe for his first time and will be meeting up with his brother who is currently living in Paris. I’m so lucky to be constantly inspired and surrounded by people who set their minds to accomplishing something and following through. Who knew how crazy 2014 was going to be for all of us. It truly makes me excited thinking of all the adventure ahead. Safe travels and good luck my friends!
