Uncategorized I know at this point it’s too late… but my heart goes out to all the families that were affected by the Sewol incident in Korea. I’m really glad my relatives are safe and weren’t affected but I can’t imagine what the others are going through. please keep everyone in your prayers as they finish the search for the remaining bodies of the students, parents, and teachers. Uncategorized The University of Lethbridge provides a ‘Stress Free Zone’ in their library where students can help themselves to free Seattle’s Best coffee (complete with sugar, sweetener, milk, and REAL cream!), tea, cookies, granola bars, and Dasani water bottles! The room also has puzzles, games, and an assortment of DVD’s to help alleviate stress. More than that however, is the message a gesture like this says- “You matter. Take care of yourself. People that don’t even know you care about you, and want you to be happy.” It’s a beautiful place. Posted on April 28, 2014 by R Continue reading →
Uncategorized Invited to a child’s party = Always say YES!! When my son was invited to a good friends party I was happy for him. He had a thoughtful card design and gift in mind. When the boys father pulled me aside at the hockey rink and asked if i could come too as his son would like coach Kev there : I was blown away and my heart beamed with happiness. It means a lot to be invited to a 9 year old birthday party and it meant a lot that he felt he trusted respected and thought I would be a fun addition. Life is good!! Uncategorized These are my people. We see each other roughly 200 days of the year…plus the fun extra days too ;). They are my go-to people. I’m so blessed to share such a great profession with such great people. Posted on April 27, 2014 by kelly Continue reading →
Uncategorized I had the privilege to meet many great people when I taught at the school in Powerview. It was super scary to start my career there, but man was it worth it. I was able to make many connections in that great community. I met this gal when she was in grade 11. While she was a quiet, hardworking student, she was a hoot to hang out with! We built a pretty tight bond and had many giggles along the way. Not to long ago she married a family friend, I’m so thankful that I will get to watch her grow into her life.
