My friends can always boost my mood no matter the circumstance. I’m grateful to have such wonderful people in my life. My friends help me to feel happy and they support me through every decision I make. I appreciate them so much and love how much love they show for me as well. Here’s a photo from a little over an hour ago with someone I’m really happy to have in my life for over 13 years now. What better way to say I love you than ice cream?

As a solo backpacker, you become unbelievably close to the people you meet. You become best friends in a day, and I believe that the reason you become so close with people when you are solo is because you are interacting with everyone in their raw format. They don’t know you, they don’t need to impress you, they just want to learn about where you’re from and who you are as an individual. This past summer I left for Southeast Asia with an idea in mind of creating a website called “Posiposts”. As I was travelling around, I became so close with people and had such an immediate trust that I began telling people about the idea. At first I could barely explain it. But people listened, everyone was open and kind. What started happening was that people were engaging my idea, they were challenging it, they were encouraging it, they didn’t realize it, but they were growing it. As I travelled around, “Posiposts” began turning in to something much bigger, an idea with much more potential and power than before I had left. Amazing people with different worldviews, insights, values and knowledge offered their advice, and their support. These are the people who first believed in me, the people who first believed in the idea of “Posiposts”. I am so grateful to have had the experiences I have travelling, and beyond grateful for the people that I’ve met. Good people are my inspiration, and we all have good in our hearts. People are amazing. @dandecas @hayley
