Happy Birthday to this girl! Kirstyn is one of the most genuinely kind hearted girls I have ever met. I’m so grateful to have her as a best friend. Friendship like ours doesn’t come around often, sometimes never. I consider myself lucky to have her in my life. She has my back in every situation and we can communicate with just a look. She knows all of my secrets and is the first person I tell everything to. This birthday is extra special in my opinion because in just a few months we’ll be living on opposite sides of Canada, which right now seems unimaginable. But friendship like this will never be broken up by distance! So cheers to us meeting when we were 16. Cheers to all the amazing memories we’ve made and here’s to the last two months in Southeast Asia. Here’s to all the 3 am phone calls, here’s to all the tears we’ve shared, happy and sad ones. Here’s to all the boys, to all the sleepovers and cuddle sessions. Here’s to the drunken nights we’ll never remember. To me being covered in gas and to you peeing your pants and cheers to that 3 legged dog. Here’s to laughing so hard we can’t breath. To you telling me my zit is small, even if it isn’t! Here’s to you knowing my best angles! Cheers to all the small things we do together like going to the gym and our snapchats. But most importantly cheers to all the big things you’re about to do. I hope you have the best birthday ever @kirstynamos you deserve all the happiness in the world! Happy Birthday! xoxo

Last night I got to help at Dreams Take Flight meet&greet. Dreams Take Flight and Air Canada send a plane full of (usually sick) children down to Disney World for a day every year. Dreams is celebrating it’s 20th year this April. Some children just found out last night that they would be going to Disney. To see their excited little faces is truly magical! I love helping at all the events over the year. Thank you Dreams Take Flight and Air Canada for doing this for 20 years!

Yesterday I got cut from the Canada Winter Games ringette team, after a year of trying out. The coach once called me a “bubble player.” I will now be returning to my club team of 5 years, which brought me to having national and international awards in my closet. Team Manitoba could not see a passion-driven, success-demanding determined soul as a fit for their team… I’m grateful for the empowering rejection. “I define who I am and how good I can be. No one else.”
