Uncategorized Sometimes you see or hear of a story which causes you to reflect on your own situation. This Facebook post was the result of one such instance (combined with the fact that it was a surprisingly nice day – which contributed to making my mood a pleasant one). It now serves as a reminder to appreciate that which is good in my life, rather than focusing on the ‘bad’ moments. Posted on April 10, 2014 by Kelsey Continue reading →

Uncategorized Every day can’t be a home run. Sometimes the world is just going to throw some stuff in your path that’s tough to deal with. For example, my day consisted of giving two presentations, writing a final exam, and getting rear-ended by someone going 60 leaving campus. It’s days like that when appreciation for the little things becomes so important. No one got hurt, my truck can be fixed, and I’m sure I haven’t failed out of school. My point here is this: when the world tries it’s best to ruin your day, appreciate the little things. Spontaneously go for coffee with a friend, smile at a stranger, or go for a fresh new haircut to help make you feel like a million bucks again. Whatever makes you smile, do it.
