Over the corse of my spring break I’ve been working with my church along side with many others doing something called soar heartland, a program to not only grow in my faith but also learn about our city and how to help the people within it. During the week we were invited to work with children in a more broken part of town, during this time I saw so much love go through these kids and my group members in a place typically known for a bad reputation. Not only has this change my view for my city but also my understanding for where I should be working and placing my time. I’d do this all over again in a heart beat.
